Grey Duiker

Grey Duiker is also known as Common Duiker. 

The word "duiker" comes from the Dutch - diver, from the manner in which they dive into thick cover when disturbed.

Females do not have horns and are slightly larger than males.  Duiker are o solitary animals but form pairs in mating season.

This small antelope has  white on the belly, inside the legs, and underneath its short tail. 

Duiker are both browsers and grazers, preferring to feed in the early morning and late afternoon.  They take cover in the heat of day. 

 Life expectancy of Common Duiker is approximately 10 years.
